We've SOLD!!!!!

Oh my goodness at last we've sold the house! Our Settlement is 12th October 2012. It hasn't sunk in yet but I can feel the bubbling of excitement rising and have head down bum up packing. Sell this, store this and take this and that! We'll drive down to Melbourne on the 13th Oct then Ash will fly down to Devonport Tassie to meet the owners of our bus and load it on the ferry and bring it over. Having lost the Winnebago we started looking at and researching buses, being cheaper than Winnebagos we looked at so many but only 2 came close to the set up that suited us best. So many had bunks etc etc whereas we wanted a setup for 2 only and that's what we found in "Jazzie" It blew me away how it was set up as if I'd done it myself. We flew down to Tassie to check it out and found not only how perfect the bus was but how encredibly similar we were to the owners, and saying that the buyers of our house are very similar also? So after falling in love with the bus we just had to sell the house. Yay!! That we have done! AT LAST!!! 15 months after putting it up for sale! Heck the costs are mounting, rego, insurance, flights, ferry, an AFrame for the Suzuki, all the highway robbery government fees, yuddah yuddah yuddah !! But it all will be more than worth it, Oh how wonderful our lives will be (although it is already pretty great!)but this chapter is soooo exciting, what amounts to a 1 bedroom flat on wheels with different billion dollar views and access to Australia's many many wonders, for as long as we possibly can, travelling around and dropping in to get a cuddle from the kids, who are scattered all over Aus. Can't top that!

Lost beloved Winny

Sadly we've been forced to let the Winny go! The wonderfully patient owners have been waiting for 12 months and it's just too much to expect them to wait for us. Also we've had to lower our price which takes us below the price we've agreed to pay. So the Winny is back on the market and we have to start from scratch and find an RV in our price range. It really sucks to have put the house on the market just as the bum falls out of the real estate market!!! Oh well they say everything happens for a good reason???
Now we are looking into buses or coaches around 37 foot they are cheaper but is definately proving to be more intense research as they are all differently laid out and have a multitude of different features. So we'll have to consider all out personal preferences. We really want it to be completely self sufficient with solar panels, decent size tanks for waters black and drinking etc etc. then depending on prices we can toss up weather we put these things in....... Woh! So much more to consider than with the manufactured Winnys. But it's fun and takes the pain away of loosing the Alpine Winny😢

Angel Cloud

Saw this wonderful cloud on our way back from Melbourne 7th July 2012 look closely it's a side on face in the centre of cloud and if you want to be more imaginative there's an angel wing behind the head!

Cargo Drawers in Suzuki

Ash has been busy building the cargo Drawers in the Suzuki, heck arnt they expensive if you had to buy them ready made, we found an exceptionally cheap place on ebay to buy our drawer runners, they are 45kg rate heavy duty 500m a pair from cjhardware. for only around $9 a pair. We've bought a few from them and just had the postage extra.
The drawers turned out brilliantly, purpace built to accommodate an area to take the shelves for the cat's cage and he covered it all with outdoor carpet, it all locks up and I think it is brilliant!!
Still no sale of the house, I cant tell you how frustrating it is, we are sooooooo ready to go. Oh well I spose it's getting closer rather than further away!
